Dunmow Music Club acoustic nights at Foakes Hall aim to bring you music from the best of the UK’s current live acoustic acts, playing all genres from Pop, Country, Folk, R&B and Jazz, in an intimate club-like setting.

Focusing predominantly on original material, each night features a combination of up and coming singer/songwriters, established professional musicians and well-known artists.

Our regular host is local resident Mick Wilson, who has performed and recorded with artists such as Lionel Richie, Jeff Lynne's ELO, Ricky Wilson, Gary Barlow, Lulu, Chris Rea, and Cliff Richard, and was the lead vocalist with 10cc for almost 20 years.  Mick frequently tours with his bands The Frontm3n and Go Now! in Europe and the US.

Dunmow Music Club acoustic nights are for music lovers who want to experience live music in a sympathetic environment, performed by quality musicians who are passionate about their craft.  Capacity is limited so booking early is essential.

DMC @TheChurch is a newer venture, in collaboration with St Mary's Church in Church End, Great Dunmow.

Our core ethos of presenting professional quality acts remains unchanged but in the church, we are able to accommodate full band set-ups and so diversify from our acoustic roots at Foakes Hall.

Acts consist of original bands and top quality tribute bands which tour the national theatre circuit.

The church plans to enhance its space and facilities as a performance venue over time and DMC has some exciting plans as this comes to fruition.

The directors of Dunmow Music Club are extremely passionate live music lovers who are determined to see the Club prosper and to support the musicians who come through its doors.
